It’s May! You know what that means? It’s National Moving Month again!
Why has May been selected as National Moving Month? Well, the reply to that question are that college students have completed their studies for the semester and are moving back home, primary school children are getting out for the summer so it’s easier to move without taking them out of their present groove, and warm and sunny weather is here to give you an easy move. This means that moving companies are going to start getting booked up and their fleets will begin
moving people long distances or
right down the road soon.
Due to these facts, if you are planning a move here in May, there are a few things that you should look at. This includes:
- Be sure that you plan as far in advance as possible. This will provide you with the ability to easily accommodate for all of the possible road blocks that can pop up.
- Book your move with your moving company as far in advance as possible also. This will help you ensure that you’ll get the help you need on the days you need it without having to pay more than you need to. Since this is the start of our busy season, it’s very important to reserve your moving truck and crew now!
- Don’t wait to move till the end of the month. This is the usual time that folks like to try to plan their moves since their leases tend to go from the start of the month to the last. If you can schedule a weekend earlier, there’s a much better chance of being able to grab a moving crew to help you with the moving.
- Plan for the weather. Just because April Showers are a thing of the past doesn’t mean rain can’t pop up suddenly to interrupt your move.
